Our state-of-the-art facilities include specialized equipment and expert support tailored to a wide range of applications. What kind of courses is the Education Lab designed for?

With the Education Lab, we primarily focus on MBO and HBO students, but we are certainly open to WO students as well. Additionally, the lab is already being used for adult education, tutoring and retraining. 

How does Planet B.io assist with the preparations of your classes?

Planet B.io has a dedicated Lab Manager who can advice educational institutions in the preparation of their classes. Based on your learning objectives and curriculum, Planet B.io can collaborate with you to design practical sessions and explore potential alternatives. Additionally, we can support in handling logistics and facilitation, such as purchasing materials or ensuring that the equipment is available and ready to use in the lab. 

How does Planet B.io ensure the safety of the teachers and students?

We comply with all relevant laws and regulations, which are regularly reviewed by external parties. Additionally, we maintain our own strict safety protocols requiring the layout and working methods on our campus.  In practical terms, this means that you will have to submit your training plan to us, including a risk analysis and risk management. Planet B.io will then review it to ensure safety, although the educational institution remains ultimately responsible. A qualified teacher must be present in the lab at all times when students are present. As a result, the likelihood of a serious incident is very small - exactly as intended. 

However, unforeseen incidents can always happen. The Biotech Campus Delft is well-prepared with an emergency response team: we have trained staff on site 24/7, who know how to respond in case of an incident. 

We also offer complete transparency regarding incidents on our campus, which are publicly available on the Biotech Campus Delft website.

Are students insured while working in the Education Lab?

Yes, Planet B.io has taken out a collective liability insurance policy for the users of the Education Lab.

What are the rental options for the Education Lab?

Although we aim for long-term partnerships, the Education Lab can also be rented on a day-by-day basis.

How many students can the Education Lab accommodate?

Our Education Lab is perfectly equipped to host up to 24 students and 2 teachers, providing an ideal space for education and training.

What other facilities can students use on our campus?

Students working in the Education Lab have access to our shared spaces that foster collaboration, whether for formal meetings or informal networking. Additionally, they can also enjoy the on-campus restaurant, which offers delicious lunch options (at their own expense) in a vibrant and social setting—perfect for recharging and connecting with others.

With the concept of the Education Lab, we are passionate about exploring opportunities to connect students with community members and companies settled on the Biotech Campus Delft. We are open to discussing the best ways to facilitate these collaborations, whether through internships or real-life case studies tailored to the needs of educational institutions and companies. 

What public transportation options are available to reach the campus?

The Biotech Campus Delft is easily accessible by public transportation. From Delft train station, you can take bus 61 (direction 'Rijswijk') and get off at the 'Persijnlaan' stop. 
 
Alternatively,  Biotech Campus Delft is a 30-minute walk from Delft train station.

Access to Biotech Campus Delft, how does it work?

At the Biotech Campus Delft an access policy applies. Students and teachers shall be registered by the Planet B.io team before each visit. Students and teachers have to use a QR code or a visitor pass to access the campus. 

In both cases, an access instruction will have to be followed beforehand, explaining the main security and behavioral rules. 

Planet B.io is required to verify the visitor's identity by asking for a valid identity card, passport or Dutch driver's license.
