How do I qualify for a subsidy to rent the lab and or office space?

Companies who would like to apply for the settlement subsidy should do so by filling in an application form. The application should be submitted by email to info@planet-b.io, with the required forms added as an attachment.

Required Documents for the Applications

• A SME declaration
• A ‘de minimis’ declaration
• A project plan
• A budget plan (max. 2 page)

How does Planet B.io assist with the use of the lab?

Planet B.io has a dedicated lab manager, which will be involved in the onboarding process of the companies making use of the Flexible Bio Lab. Users of the flexible bio lab can always reach out to the lab manager with any questions related to the equipment, logistics or infrastructure in the lab. If there is equipment which is missing, we are always happy to discuss the options to purchase equipment which is relevant for a broader community. The lab manager can also be asked for advice related to lab safety.

Besides workspace, what other facilities will I get?

When renting a workspace at Planet B.io, you will become part of our community and can benefit from all the shared lab facilities on our biotech campus. These include use of the autoclave, chemical cabinets, ice machines, milliQ water. Next to the lab facilities, you can also benefit from all facilities our renovated campus has to offer, like a beautifull restaurant, coffee corners, meeting rooms, a lecture hall, and even a gym.

What kind of networking opportunities are there?

Next to tailored business support and access to Planet B.io’s network of investors, corporates, knowledge institutions, corporates and governments, we also organize lots of events to facilitate networking within our community. There are social events, like summer BBQs and sport activities, but also content-driven events like lunch lectures.

Is it also possible to setup my own private lab?

If your company is already at the stage that it is ready for its own, dedicated lab, we have a lot of possibilities as well. Our labs are already furnished with lab tables, gas connections, and fumehoods. Meaning you do not lose any time to deal with the general logistics and infrastructure yourself and will be able to start your experiments asap.

Is my intellectual property (IP) safe when working in a co-working space?

Your intellectual property (IP) is a valuable asset and safeguarding it in a co-working space is critical. While your invention remains 100% your own, working alongside multiple companies in the same lab or shared workspace necessitates proactive measures to maintain confidentiality and protect your ideas. This is the responsibility of the user.

Of course, you can always rent your own private workspace at Planet B.io, and we also offer locked storage space.

Can I also get a business mailing address?

If you are a user of the Flexible Bio Lab, you can register your company at the Biotech Campus Delft, and make use of the Campus Postal services.
